The Arenac County Historical Society- presents the program “The Legend of Fingerless Will Nixon” with authors Richard & Jean Nixon, Tuesday, August 18th, 7pm, at the museum, 304 East Michigan Avenue in AuGres. The event is free and open to all. For more information call 989-876-8787.

The Arenac Conservation District Farm Tour- will be held Thursday, August 20th, 11am-4pm. Registration at 10am, at The Andersons, 4198 South Huron Road in Standish. The tour will take you to two local farms. No cost to attend and lunch is provided. Steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses and helmet required. The Tawas Bay Art Gallery will host the Batik Class “Flowers On A Picket Fence” a painting done with ink, watercolors & wax on rice paper with instructor Judy Howe, Thursday & Friday, August 20th & 21st. 1-4pm, at the Gallery, 302 Newman Street, East Tawas.
