The Robert J. Parks Library- will hold Summer Camp for Kids Tuesday, July 28th- Friday, July 31st, 12:30-3:30pm at the library 6000 North Skeel Avenue in Oscoda. Join librarian Robin Savage as kids learn about different authors, genres and how to write a book. Crafts, games, activities and outdoor read alouds. For more information call 989-739-9581.

An “Unsalted & Unscripted” Open Mic Night will be held
Wednesday, July 29th, 7pm, at Tilly’s, 129 Newman Street, downtown East Tawas. Come share poetry, music, funny stories or just come and listen! Open to ages 16 and older.
Huron Pines will host- “Painting In The Prairie” at the Mio Prairie, corner of Valley and Howard Roads in Mio Thursday, July 30th from 10am-12:30pm. Paint wildflowers on rocks through simple acrylic painting techniques. No experience necessary and all supplies provided. To register or for more information visit Huron Pines Dot Org.
The Comedy Series- will host a Comedy Night Friday, July 31st, 7:30pm, at The Collective, 821 Newman Street, East Tawas. Featuring Melissa Hager, Mai Saigon and headliner Jordan Garnett. Tickets $27, 21 and older only, with a cash bar. Purchase tickets at The Comedy Series Dot Net.
The Lumberman’s Monument- will host a presentation by Forester Antavius Mikazes Friday, July 31st, 1pm, at the Visitor’s Center at Monument and River Roads, Oscoda. The topic will be the importance of harvesting timber to create and maintain a healthy forest. The program is free and open to everyone. For more information call 989-362-8961.
The Rose City Lupton Chamber of Commerce- presents the Free Rose City Music Festival Saturday, August 1st at Rose City Park. Music starts at 4pm with Motor City Memories and at 7pm it’s the band Risque. Plus food concessions available! For more information check out Visit Rose City Dot Com.
The Friends of the East Tawas Library’s 17th Annual Tawas Uncork’d Wine, Ale & Food Festival- will be held Saturday, August 1st, Noon-5pm, at Harbor Park in East Tawas. Michigan wines, ales and local food plus music and “Basket of Cheer” raffle. Tickets at the gate $25 and includes souvenir glass and two drink tickets. Additional drink tickets available for purchase. Proceeds to the Friends of the East Tawas Library.
The AuSable Inn River View Restaurant and Sports Bar- will host Country Fest Saturday, August 1st, at the Restaurant on U.S. 23 in Oscoda.

The Iosco County Firefighters Sunrise Side Country Music Show- will be held Friday, August 14th, 7pm, at the East Tawas Community Center on Newman Street in East Tawas. This year’s show features Kathy Baillie and her band Baillie & The Boys. Tickets $25, $40 for a couple and $50 for the whole family. Proceeds benefit the Iosco County Firefighters.
