Madison Hollenbeck - "Student of the Month"

The Iosco RESA Career and Technical Education Center would like to take this opportunity to recognize Madison Hollenbeck as “Professional Student of the Month”  Madison is the daughter of Charles Hollis and Ashley Howell. She is a senior at Hale Area Schools.

Madison is a second year student in the Teacher Prep Academy program. “Ms. Madison”, as she is known around Hale Elementary/Middle School, has evolved into the ultimate cadet—taking advantage of every learning opportunity. She has not let the pandemic slow her down, every day Madison participated with her 6th grade host classroom by reading them a chapter of Wonder virtually. In November, she spearheaded the Veterans’ Day ceremony with the help of 3rd grade teacher, Julie Look. This Teacher Prep cadet exceeded expectations when she took ownership in a project, which she knew her community holds dear. She created an online link for Hale’s veterans to attend an outdoor celebration while communicating virtually with students inside, collected information on kids’ loved ones to display, and enlisted all of the students in making a thank you banner. She took direction from staff, and then blew the project up ten times bigger than ever before!

To be nominated for “Professional Student of the Month”, a student must have outstanding work ethics, no absences or tardies for the month, no discipline issues and at least a B grade point average. Iosco RESA Tech Center offers the following programs for 11th and 12th grade students: Automotive Technology, Building Trades, Culinary Arts & Restaurant Management, Health Science, Power Mechanics, and Teacher Prep Academy. For more information about these programs call 989-362-3006 ext. 1142.
