The Shoreline Players Community Theatre- will host auditions for the production of “Into The Woods”:
Tuesday, August 25th 6:30pm.

The Tawas Bay Art Gallery- will host an acrylic painting class of a Barred Owl with instructor Debra Sieloff, Wednesday, August 26th, 9-11am at the Gallery, 302 Newman Street, East Tawas. Cost is $35 per person. Registration and payment in advance by calling 989-362-5613. 

A Free Summer Concert- will be held Wednesday, August 26th, 6pm, at the Historical Standish Depot, corner of M-61 & U.S. 23 in Standish. Featuring “The Way It Was” Elvis, Jimmy Buffett and Frank Sinatra impersonators. Bring your lawn chairs, rain or shine. Plus 50/50 and Bucket Raffle benefiting Can Council to stop child abuse and neglect.

Unsalted & Unscripted- Open Mic Night will be held Wednesday, August 26th, 7pm, at Tilly’s, 129 Newman Street, East Tawas. Come share poetry, music and funny stories, or just listen. Age 16 and older only. 
 
A free Back To School Bash- will be held Friday, August 28th, 4-8pm, at Oscoda United Methodist Church, 120 West Dwight Avenue, Oscoda. Free haircuts, food distribution, hot dogs, chips and water. A Bake Sale fundraiser will also be held for Student Leadership Services Student events. For more information call 989-254-3612.

Palomino Hope Ranch- will host a free Heroes and Horses Coffee Saturday, August 29th, Noon-2pm, at the Ranch, 279 North Chambers road, Tawas City. The Iosco Conservation District- will host a presentation on “Tick Safety in the Forest & Beyond” Saturday, August 29th, 10-11:30am at Ingall’s Forest on Bischoff Road, north of Anderson Road in East Tawas. KJC Country welcomes country singer John Berry to the Aplex in Alpena Friday, December 11th. Doors open at 6:30pm, show starts at 8pm. Celebrate Christmas with John Berry as he sings holiday favorites and his hits as well. Tickets $60 for VIP seating, general admission $40. Bingo: The Alcona County Commission- on Aging hosts Bingo the first and third Monday of every month at 2pm in the Senior Center Dining Hall, 207 South Church Street, Lincoln. Coffee and popcorn available too.

Community Supper: The Collective by Tawas Wellness- hosts a Community Supper The first Monday of each month from 4-6:30pm at 821 Newman Street, East Tawas with a menu with burgers and seafood and weekly special. To go orders at 989-305-6322.

Bingo: The Mikado Goodfellows- host Bingo Mondays at the Civic Center on F-41. Doors open at 4pm, Bingo at 6:30pm. Food available for purchase. Proceeds to Charity.

Bingo: The Sand Lake Seniors- host Bingo Tuesdays in the Sand Lake Heights Building, 4059 Indian Lake Road, National City. Doors open at 11am, Bingo starts at noon. Proceeds to the Sand Lake Seniors.

 

Euchre: The Alcona County Commission- on Aging hosts Euchre Day, Tuesdays beginning at 12:30pm, at the Senior Center, 207 South Church Street, Lincoln. Tickets one dollar, 10 cents per Euchre, free popcorn and coffee. Call 989-334-3466 for more information.

American Legion Post #422- will host a Motor Night Patio Party every Tuesday beginning at 5pm, at the Post, 429 West Main Street, Hale. Bikes, cars, ORV’s, carts, if it has a motor, bring it! Plus DJ music, food, build a burger, horseshoes, cornhole and bonfire. All are welcome! Dates- 8/25.

Bingo: Hale VFW Post #7435 will hold Bingo Thursdays. Doors open at 3:30pm, Bingo at 6pm at the Post, 203 W. Ainsley Street in Hale.

Line Dancing: "Thursday Night at the V" Line Dancing Class will be held Thursdays from 6-8pm at VFW Post #3735 at 240 Chrysler Road in Oscoda.

A Farmer’s Market: will be held Fridays from 9am-2pm at Riverside Park in AuGres from May 15th-September 25th. For vendor information call AuGres City Hall at 989-876-8811.

The Standish Farmer’s Market- is held Fridays from 2-6pm at the Historic Standish Depot at the corner of U.S. 23 & M-61 in Standish. Vendors can find an application at the Depot Facebook page.

SATURDAY:

Hale American Legion Post #422- 429 West Main Street, Hale, hosts breakfast every Sunday from 9am-Noon. Eggs, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon and beverages. All are weclcome.
