The Iosco County Firefighters Association is proud to announce that singer/songwriters Tess Frizzell and Bobby Tomberlin will headline the annual Sunrise Side Country Music Show from Nashville this year.

Mr. Tomberlin is a multi-nominated Country Music Association songwriter. He wrote “One More Day”, the #1 Billboard Magazine country hit sung by the group Diamond Rio. Mr. Tomberlin has written hits recorded by scores of singers including Barbra Streisand, Kenny Rogers, Blake Shelton and Faith Hill.

Tess Frizzell’s mother, Shelley West, sang the country music standard “You’re the Reason God make Oklahoma” with Tess’ uncle David Frizzell. Tess’ grandmother is Dottie West who is in the Country Music Hall of Fame. Incidentally, so is her uncle Left Frizzell. He sang the #1 hit “Saginaw, Michigan”.

The show is Friday, August 22, 2025 at 7:00 pm at the East Tawas Community Center, 760 Newman St., East Tawas MI.
