The Friends of the Tawas Point Lighthouse will host Tuesdays at the Lighthouse, every Tuesday from Noon-4pm. Free tours of the lighthouse. Donations accepted.

The Lumberman’s Monument Visitor’s Center will host the presentation “Civilian Conservation Corps Enrollee 1941” Tuesday, August 5th 1pm, at the Center, corner of River and Monument Roads. Presenter Michael Deren will describe what the CCC was all about. The program is free and open to all ages.

The Third Annual National Night Out & Community Resource Fair sponsored by the Ogemaw East Branch Library, Tuesday, August 5, 2025, 5:00–8:00 PM Washington street, Village of Prescott, MI Join us for the Third Annual National Night Out and Community Resource Fair! This free, family-friendly event is designed to foster positive relationships between our first responders and the community in a fun and welcoming environment. Main Street in Prescott will be transformed into a vibrant hub of activity with over 50 booths featuring police, fire, EMS, and a wide range of community organizations sharing helpful information and resources. Children can enjoy a dedicated activity zone with crafts, games, and face painting. New this year, we’re excited to introduce a farm animal area where attendees can learn about animal care — and maybe even meet a furry friend or two! The streets will be closed for the event, so please follow the posted parking signs. Food will be available for purchase on-site
