LISTEN TO WKJC ANYWHERE!

Kevin Allen Contact Kevin Allen

I'm a native Chicagoan, but consider myself a true Michigander! I have a Degree in Communications from Northern Illinois University. I've worked in radio in the Chicago area, Bay City and Saginaw, Michigan. I've been with WKJC since 1990. First doing Afternoons before moving to the Morning Show! The Show has won many Michigan Association of Broadcasters Awards for Broadcast Excellence. I'm very proud of the fact that I was named Michigan Farm Bureau Ag Communicator of the Year in 1998. I've hosted Miss Iosco, Miss Sunrise Side, Holy Family Grand Raffle, St. Joseph Gala, National Wild Turkey Federation and Ducks Unlimited Banquets and I've been the voice at the finish line of the AuSable River Canoe Marathon for many years. I've been married to my wife Christine since 1992 and have two sons William & Bradley, who is the afternoon announcer and Sports Director here. Go Cubs!

Bio

I was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in the suburbs. I attended college at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb graduating with a degree in communications.  My first radio job was an announcer with radio station WIVS in Crystal Lake, Illinois. I became the news director for WMCW in Harvard, Illinois after that, before making my move to Michigan.  I worked for "Big Ox Country", WXOX in Bay City before moving to WGER in Saginaw as the night time Jazz host.I moved to WKJC in November of 1990 as the afternoon announcer.I met my wife, Chris,  in May of 1991 and we were married in February of 1992 and have two boys, William and Bradley. I've been the morning man since 1994 when I became the program director and have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Yes, I am a long suffering Chicago Cubs fan but love the Tigers too!
