Mindjimendamowin is a short documentary film that highlights the journey of a young, contemporary Anishinaabe man in a birch bark canoe. Our young man follows the Old Shore Indian Trail (now US 23) carved out by his ancestors along the shores of Lake Huron. The film showcases the natural beauty of NE Michigan as well as educating the audience on the historical sites and oral stories along the route from Saginaw Bay to Mackinaw City. Mindjimendamowin uses poetry, storytelling, and music as well as traditional narration from Native American elders to tell this story.

Burr’s material delves into sports, the scourge of social media and more – all with a common thread of a “wickedly satirical” delivery. The comedian first gained notoriety for his recurring role on the second season of “Chappelle’s Show.” Burr’s acting profile skyrocketed after his appearance on AMC’s “Breaking Bad.” That break allowed Burr to add actor to his resume and receive other premium roles including a character in the film “Stand Up Guys” starring Academy Award winners, Al Pacino and Christopher Walkin. He has five stand-up specials, the most recent of which premiered on Netflix on January 31, 2017. Tickets can be purchased to see Burr on October 12th at Ticketmaster.com.
