The Wurtsmith Air Museum's 25th Anniversary of the Base Closure will be held:
-Friday, June 22nd-Museum will be open 11am-4pm and a World War II Encampment
-Saturday, June 23rd-11am-1pm Luncheon for Wurtsmith Veterans and spouses at the American Legion Hall on U.S. 23 followed by a presentation on Wurtsmith history. World War II encampment and Museum will be open 11am-4pm.

The 24th Annual "St. Joseph Health System Foundation Charity Golf Classic will be held Friday, June 22nd at Red Hawk Golf Course in East Tawas. Registration at 8:30am, shotgun start at 9:30am for the four person team scramble. 18 holes with cart, contests and raffles, breakfast, lunch and refreshments on the course, gifts, dinner and awards reception. The AuSable Valley Engine & Tractor Club annual show is on June 22 and 23, 2018 (Friday & Saturday) at the lovely wooded Oscoda County Fairgrounds on Caldwell Road off of M33 between Mio and Fairview. Oscoda Veterans Memorial Park Musicfest
Schedule - Starting Friday, June 22, 2018 at 5pm with the Victory Trio. Starting at 6pm will be the Very Popular "Letters From Home Singers" also known as "America's Bombshell Duo". Following them at 7:30pm will be Jeff Carr as Wille Nelson Tribute/impersonator and Mike Sugg as Toby Keith till 9pm. On Saturday starting at 4:30pm is a popular local band. At 6pm will be the Paradise Band, a full 7 piece band featuring horns and playing music from the 60’s along with Beach Boy, Jazz and Jimmy Buffet songs. At 7:30pm “The Soul Men", a Blues Brothers Tribute duo will join the Paradise Band taking you back to those good ole days with Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi as only they could. Relive those moments, sounds and dance routines including some great harmonica playing by Dan.
The Michigan Fallen Military Memorial Wall will be on display Saturday with a motorcycle escort scheduled to bring it in to the display site from Tawas Shoreline Park across from Iosco County Building on US 23. Line up starts 8am with Kickstands up at 9am June 23, 2018. Also on display will be the War Dog Mobile Memorial from St Lyons, MI. Other Military Veterans activites and functions will also be announced as they are added. A Car and Motorcycle Display will be held on Saturday with Small entry fee for vehicles entering the show which will include a ticket for Sat night entertainment. The Car Display, Fallen Wall and War Dog Memorial are free for spectators to attend and visit. The entire event is intended to help raise much needed funds for continued improvements for our Oscoda Veterans Memorial Park.
