Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

Oscoda Red Cross Blood Drive

Hale Community Blood Drive

Michigan Blood is partnering with "In His Presence" Hale Assembly of God to host a Hale Community Blood Drive Friday, May 4th 2-7pm, in the Church fellowship hall, 3716 North m-65, Hale. The Mikado American Legion will hold a fish fry Friday, May 4th, 5-7pm, at the Post, 2205 Alger Street in Mikado. Pollock, steak fries, coleslaw, rolls and dessert. Cost is $8 for adults, kids 6-12 $4 5 and under free. Call 736-9526 for more information.

American Legion Post #370 Prescott Dinner

Hunter Safety Class

A Hunter's Safety Class will be held at M-65 Bait Shop, just north of M-55 in Whittemore, Friday, May 4th 4:30-9pm and Saturday, May 5th 9am-5pm. The class is free and you must attend both days. Class size limited to fifty people. For more information stop into M-65 Bait Shop or call 756-3651.

Saginaw County Police Chief's Fundraiser

The Saginaw County Police Chief's Fundraiser starring Bucky Covington will be held on Friday, May 4 @ 6:30 pm in The Dow Event Center's Red Room. Bucky Covington’s self-titled debut CD opened at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart with the biggest first week sales for any debut country artist that year. He went on to become the best-selling debut artist of 2007 and delivered three consecutive Top 10 singles to country radio (“Different World”, “I’ll Walk”, and “Good To Be Us”), and a total of six charted singles. He was an American Idol Finalist in the 5th Season.
