Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

DEAN ARBOUR FORD OF TAWAS CITY AND KJC COUNTRY 104.7FM WILL HOLD A SPECIAL "DRIVE 4 UR SCHOOL" FUNDRAISER FOR TAWAS AREA HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR CLASS "PROJECT GRADUATION". SATURDAY, APRIL 14TH FROM 10AM-2PM, COME TO TAWAS AREA HIGH SCHOOL ON M-55 AND FOR EVERY TEST DRIVE OF A NEW FORD VEHICLE, $20 WILL BE DONATED TOWARD PROJECT GRADUATION. MUST BE 18 OR OLDER WITH A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE.  

Harbor Lights Walkathon

Tawas Fine Arts Festival

From 11:00AM to 4:00PM

The Tawas Area School's Fine Arts Department will host a Fine Arts Festival Saturday, April 14th, 11am-4pm, in the Tawas Area High School's new gym on M-55, Tawas City. Student Art Show and Silent Art Auction. Performances by the Jazz Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, High School Band & Choir, Huron Shores Chorus and Sound Waves Jazz Orchestra. Admission is free but donations will be accepted.

Oscoda Red Cross Blood Drive

Authentic Polish Dinner

AN AUTHENTIC HOME COOKED POLISH DINNER WILL BE SERVED SATURDAY, APRIL 14TH, 4-6PM, AT THE SAND LAKE COMMUNITY CENTER, 4059 INDIAN LAKE ROAD IN NATIONAL CITY. STUFFED CABBAGE, SAUERKRAUT & KIELBASA, MASHED POTATOES & GRAVY, GREEN BEANS & CORN, POLISH RYE BREAD & BUTTER, BEET AND CUCUMBER TOMATO SALADS, COFFEE, TEA AND LEMONADE OR BYOB. COST IS $12 FOR ADULTS, CHILDREN UNDER TWELVE $4. HOSTED BY THE SAND LAKE WOMEN'S AUXILIARY. PROCEEDS FOR COMMUNITY PROJECTS, SCHOLARSHIPS, FESTIVAL MIDWAY AND PLAYGROUND RENOVATION.

Hale Singles Dance

A Singles Dance with DJ for those 50 and over will be held Saturday, April 14th, 7pm, at the Eagles Club on M-65 just north of Hale.
