Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

Plainfield Townshiship Library Used Book Sale

Please note, The event is all day Thursday & Friday the event closes early on Saturday at noon. The Friends and of the Plainfield Township Library are sponsoring a used Book Sale to be held at the Plainfield Township Resource Center on M-65 in Hale on August 9 to the 12. The Sale will open Wednesday August 9th at 9:00 A.M. to 6:30 P.M. Thursday August 10th and Friday August 11th 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Saturday August 12th 9:00 A.M. to noon All Proceeds benefit the Plainfield Township Library in Hale.

Personal Action Towards Health Workshop:What are your long term health problems? Diabetes, Heart Disease, Lung Disorders, High Blood Pressure, Chronic Back or Neck Pain, High Cholesterol, Arthritis. People with long term health concerns are learning to manage their health and live life to its fullest by enrolling in the Personal Action Towards Health Workshop. The Personal Action Towards Health Workshop is available in Iosco County right now. This six week workshop meets once a week for two and a half hours at the Oscoda Senior Center in Oscoda beginning Friday July 21st At 1:00 pm. Learn how to deal with challenges of not feeling well. Overcome stress and relax. Increase your energy, handle everyday activities more easily, and stay independent.
