Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

Boater's Safety Course

THE ALCONA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE WILL HOLD A BOATER’S SAFETY COURSE SATURDAY, JUNE 24TH, 9AM-2PM, AT THE GREENBUSH TOWNSHIP HALL, 5037 EAST CAMPBELL ROAD IN GREENBUSH. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST TWELVE YEARS OLD TO REGISTER. A LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED. TO REGISTER OR FOR MORE INFORMATION CALL THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE BETWEEN 8AM-4PM AT 724-6271.

AuSable Valley Tractor Show

The AuSable Valley Engine & Tractor Club Show will hold their show on June 23 & 24 2017 (Friday & Saturday). Located at the lovely wooded Oscoda County Fairgrounds on Caldwell Road off of M33 between Mio and Fairview. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Featuring tractor and machine exhibits, gas engines and related machinery, tractor and kids games with prizes, flea market, swap meet, craft vendors, tractor pulling, daily demonstrations and tractor parade. A child’s peddle tractor will be given away each day. All farm or equipment exhibitors, flea market, craft vendors and swap meet vendors are welcome and there is no charge to set up or exhibit even for non-members. Rustic camping is available. Some sites with electric. Food is available on site including a BBQ chicken dinner on Saturday. Gate fee is $3.00 per person. Children under 12 years are free!! Shore Fun Beach Run / 5K Run & Walk

The first Shore Fun Beach Run takes place on the sandy beach of Oscoda along the beautiful Lake Huron shoreline. It is one of just a handful of Michigan runs that takes place 100% on the sand.
