General Membership Meeting
The Friends of Negwegon State Park announces a General Membership meeting on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Alcona Township Hall on US 23, just north of Black River Road.
The agenda for the September 13 meeting will be elect to officers and discuss the current and the future of activities of Friends Negwegon State Park. Please attend. The public is encouraged to participate and needed to help make a successful organization. Success is dependent on the help and input of community members!
Known to most residents of Alcona and Alpena counties for its 40,000 feet of pristine shoreline and 10 miles of wilderness hiking trails, Negwegon State Park remains a secluded and remote remnant of the 19th century Michigan forest.
Our Mission is …
“To preserve, protect and promote Negwegon State Park.”
The Friends organization hopes to accomplish their mission through a variety of means: promoting stewardship through educational programs; preserving natural and historical features through research; protecting park interests by collaborating with other parks and agencies.
There will be a FNSP Board meeting at 5PM at the same location.
