The Iosco RESA Career and Technical Education Center would like to take this opportunity to recognize Chance Kruse as “Professional Student of the Month”. Chance is the son of John and Heidi Kruse. He is a senior at Oscoda High School.

Chance is a first year student in the Automotive Technology program. He takes on every task with an “I can” attitude and strives to be the best role model for other students. Chance is also part of the IRESA Tech Center student leadership team. During our recent 8th and 10th grade tours, where students from the local districts visit our programs, he was the representative for the Auto program and spoke to them about his experiences in the class. Chance recently completed the SP2 Safety Certification with a score of 100% which is the top of the class. He is self-motivated and has studied additional curriculum to increase his knowledge in body shop repair and passed SP2 assessments in this area at 100% as well.

To be nominated for “Professional Student of the Month”, a student must have outstanding work ethics, no absences or tardies for the month, no discipline issues and at least a B grade point average. Iosco RESA Tech Center offers the following programs for 11th and 12th grade students: Automotive Technology, Building Trades, Culinary Arts & Restaurant Management, Health Science, Power Mechanics, and Teacher Prep Academy.
