Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

Oscoda Lions Club Souper Supper

From 5:00PM to 7:00PM

The Oscoda Lions Club will be hosting its 8th Annual Souper Supper including the traditional Richardson Elementary School Art Bowl Sale on Friday, February 15th from 5– 7 p.m. in the Oscoda High School Commons area. The Oscoda Owls J. V. and varsity basketball teams will play the Whittemore Prescott Cardinals this evening in the gym. The Lions Club will be serving homemade soups and desserts accompanied by rolls, crackers and beverages. The meal will cost $3.00 for children ages 5 – 12 and $5.00 for ages 13 and up with a maximum charge of $20.00 per family. The Richardson Elementary students’ unique handcrafted ceramic bowls will be sold during the meal with the proceeds donated to a charitable organization of their choice.
