Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

Children's Craft & Card Project

From 10:00AM to 11:00AM

A free Children's Craft & Card will be held Saturday, February 9th, 10-11am at the Robert J. Parks Library on North Skeel Avenue in Oscoda. Kids learn about blending and burnishing colors as they draw different objects and finish with a Valentine to take home. Supplies provided. Registration required by calling 739-9581.

Oscoda Red Cross Blood Drive

From 12:00PM to 9:14PM

The American Red Cross will hold a Blood Drive Wednesday, June 1st, Noon-5:45pm, at the American Legion Hall on U.S. 23 in Oscoda. To make an appointment or for more information visit Red Cross Blood Dot Org.

Ascension Winter Gala

The Ascension St. Joseph Foundation invites everyone to their Winter Gala 2019 Spirit of St. Joseph Award honoring Jo S. May MD, Saturday, February 9th in the East Tawas Community Center, 760 Newman Street. Cocktails at 5:30pm, dinner at 6:30pm plus raffles and entertainment. Ducks Unlimited Dinner

The Huron Shores Chapter of Ducks Unlimited will hold their annual membership banquet Saturday, February 9th at Northwoods Steakhouse in East Tawas. Doors open at 6pm, dinner at 7pm. Tickets are $60 for a single, $100 for a couple and includes DU membership, dinner and prize. Purchase tickets at Ducks Dot Org. A Valentine Dance will be held Saturday, February 9th, 7pm, at the Barton City Eagles, 671 Sanborn Road in Barton City. There will be food, raffles and 50/50's. For more information call 736-3050.

Father/Daughter Mother/Son Dance

From 7:00PM to 10:00PM

A Father/Daughter-Mother/Son Dance will be held Saturday, February 9th, 7-10pm, in the Tawas United Methodist Church Gym on M-55 in Tawas City. An evening of dancing and refreshments will be provided. Cost is $5 per person with all proceeds going to the local Cub Scouts to cover the cost of their activities and adventures and to help pay for awards that the Scouts work hard to earn.

Mid Winter's Night Dance

From 7:30PM to 10:30PM

A Mid-Winter Night's Dance featuring 50's & 60's Country & Old Time Rock & Roll will be held Saturday, February 9th, 7:30-10:30pm featuring the Kountry Klass Variety Band at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 821 Newman Street, East Tawas. Tickets $10 each with proceeds to the Knights of Columbus and Harbor Lights Pregnancy and Information Center. For tickets or more information call 362-7994.
