Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

Underwater Robotics 101 family drop-in: ROV-in-a-B

Learn how to construct an underwater ROV (remotely Operated Vehicle) using an "ROV-In-A-Box" kit. Pilot your creation in our makerspace test tank to complete underwater missions and learn about how these vehicles are used for science and industry.

Water Ways Farewell

From 3:30PM to 5:30PM

The Harrisville Branch of the Alcona County Library will host "Water Ways Farewell" the last day to view the exhibit, Friday, December 28th, 3:30-5:30pm at the Library, 312 West Main Street in Harrisville. The Smithsonian's Exhibit highlights ways that water intersects with our environment, history, economy and culture, focusing on the Great Lakes. For more information call the library at 724-6796.
