Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

The "Dog Days of Summer" Vendor & Mom2Mom Sale will be held Saturday, August 25th, 10am-3pm, at VFW Post #3735, 240 Chrysler Road in Oscoda. A vendor raffle will be held and lunch will be available for purchase from noon-2pm.

Unified In Christ Concert

The 3rd Annual "Unified In Christ" Concert will be held Saturday, August 25th, noon-9pm, at Divine Shepherd Christian Community Church, 4335 M-61 in Standish. Nine performers including JJ Weeks Band, Joe Guerra and Two Plus One. Plus concessions and Kid's Zone. Admission is free and all are welcome. Call 314-4030 for more information.

Oscoda Red Cross Blood Drive

The 17th Annual Blues By The Bay Festival will be held at Harbor Park in East Tawas August 24th-26th. Appearing on Saturday:

Ribs & Chicken Dinner

Hunters Safety Class

A Hunters Safety Class will be held at M-65 Bait Shop, just north of M-55 in Whittemore Friday, August 24th 4:30-9pm and Saturday, August 25th 9am-5pm. The class is free and you must attend both days. Class size is limited to fifty people and lunch provided Saturday by Tawas Bay Insurance Agency. Lincoln Lions Car Show

The Lincoln Lions 20th Annual Antique & Classic Car Show will take place:

Friday, August 24th 5pm Parking Lot Party & Car Cruise in the Alcona Motors Parking Lot

Saturday, August 25th Antique & Classic vehicles displayed on Lake Street. Pancake & Sausage Breakfast served by the Lincoln Fire Department Auxiliary. Hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, roasted corn and beer served by the Lincoln Lions. Plus 50's music and raffles throughout the day.
