Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

Campground Presentation - Dugout Canoes

From 3:00PM to 4:00PM

The USDA Forest Service, Huron-Manistee National Forests, Mio Ranger District is hosting a free campground presentation. August 3rd the Forest Archeologist will be at Mack Lake Campground with a dugout canoe. This canoe was built by the Forest Archeologist and other Forest Service employees.

Mikado Fish Fry

From 5:00PM to 7:00PM

The Mikado American Legion will host a Fish Fry Friday, August 3rd, 5-7pm, at the Post, 2205 Alger Street in Mikado. Pollock, steak fries, coleslaw, rolls and dessert. Cost is $8, kids ages 6-12 $4, 5 and under free. Call 736-9526 for more information.
