Tuesdays in June, July, August from noon to 4pm lighthouse tours will be given by members of the Friends of Tawas Point State Park and Lighthouse. Donations will be accepted and appreciated. Thurs - Mon scheduled aft tours are $5 adults, $2 children. The lighthouse is closed on Wed.

Kid's Day will be held at the Lumberman's Monument Visitor's Center, at Monument and River Roads, Oscoda. On Tuesday, July 24th at 1pm, kids will learn about a day in the life of a forester. Open to children and adults. For more information call 362-8961.

The AuSable River Canoe Marathon's "Consumer's Energy Dash for Cash" presented by Gilbert's Drugs of Oscoda will be held Tuesday, July 24th at 5:30pm. Teams face off, bracket style, in a quarter mile sprint drag race style starting at Gilbert's and ending by the AuSable Inn. Spectators welcome!
