Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

Strawberry Festival

Christ Episcopal Church will host their annual Strawberry Festival Wednesday, July 4th, 10:30am-2pm, at the Church, on West Westover, one block west of downtown East Tawas. Strawberry shortcakes, sundaes, hot dogs and a bake sale.

The Tawas Area Chamber of Commerce's 4th Of July Celebration Wednesday, July 4th:

 

11am-Parade on Newman Street down U.S. 23 to Tawas City. The Grand Marshall is June Scott!

 

10pm- Fireworks overlooking the Bay between Tawas City & East Tawas

Oscoda Red Cross Blood Drive

Au Gres "A Country 4th"

The City of AuGres will hold "A Country 4th"! Celebrate Independence Day with free hot dogs and apple pie and featuring the music of Lenny Hicks. It will be held Wednesday, July 4th beginning at 4:30pm at AuGres City Campground Pavilion. For more information call 876-8811.

The Oscoda Lions & Rotary Clubs will host a 4th of July Community Picnic & Fireworks Celebration at Oscoda Beach Park:

 

-5pm: Picnic, Kids Games and Sand Castle Building

 

-Dusk: Fireworks at the Pier

 

The Lions & Rotary will have hot dogs, chips, applie pie and soft drinks for sale.
