Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

Bigfoot Discovery Days

Free Family Fun Fair

The Iosco County Free Family Fun Fair will take place Saturday, April 21st, 10am-2pm, in the Oscoda High School Gym, on River Road. Craft projects, children's books, free lunch and more! Sponsored by the Iosco County MSU Extension and Rotary Club of Oscoda.

Spring Into Summer Shopping Expo

A SPRING INTO SUMMER SHOPPING EXPO WITH VENDORS, CRAFTERS AND MOM TO MOM SALE, WILL BE HELD SATURDAY, APRIL 21ST, 10AM-3PM, AT VFW POST #3735, 240 CHRYSLER ROAD, OSCODA. LUNCH WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE FROM NOON-2PM.

Oscoda Red Cross Blood Drive

Spring Into Country Shows

THE MICHIGAN COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME'S 3RD ANNUAL "SPRING INTO COUNTRY" MUSIC SHOW WILL BE HELD SATURDAY, APRIL 21ST WITH SHOWS AT 2PM AND 6PM IN EDWARDS TOWN HALL, 3601 WICKES ROAD IN WEST BRANCH. TICKETS ARE $15 AT THE DOOR OR $13 BY ORDERING AT MCMHOF.COM. FOR MORE INFORMATION CALL 701-2496.

Polish Dinner Rescheduled

4:00PM

An authentic home cooked polish dinner will be served Saturday, April 21st, 4-6pm, at the Sand Lake Community Center, 4059 Indian Lake Road in National City. Stuffed cabbage, sauerkraut & kielbasa, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans & corn, polish rye bread & butter, beet, cucumber & tomato salads, coffee, tea & lemonade or BYOB. Cost is $12, children under 12 free. Hosted by the Sand Lake Women's Auxiliary. Proceeds for community projects, scholarships, festival midway and playground renovation. 

Lions Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

From 4:30PM to 7:00PM

The Oscoda Lions Club will hold a spaghetti dinner fundraiser Saturday, April 21st, 4:30-7pm, at Oscoda United Methodist Church, River Road, Oscoda. Tickets $8 for adults, $5 kids ages 5-12, under 5 free, Family of 4 or more $25. A Chinese Auction will also be held. Proceeds for medical expenses for Ava Nordeen and Brody Story. 

Community Potluck Dinner

The AuSable Oscoda Historical Society Community Potluck Dinner will be held Saturday, April 21st at the Church of Christ, 5726 Cedar Lake Road in Oscoda. Ham will be provided, please bring a dish to pass. Donations accepted. Doors open at 4:30pm, Dinner at 5pm, Joe Ireland will conduct a free class in Native American Finger Weaving at 6pm. All are welcome.

Shoreline Players Murder Mystery

The Shoreline Players of Oscoda present the interactive murder mystery dinner theater "Win, Place or Die" Saturday, April 21st, 5:30pm, at the Camp Inn Lodge, U.S. 23 just south of Oscoda. Tickets $25 in advance, $30 at the door and include appetizer, entree, dessert, non-alcoholic beverage and show. Call 739-2021 for ticket information.
