Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

Shark Days at the Sanctuary!

Join us this spring break to explore the amazing sharks of the National Marine Sanctuaries. During this two-day shark-themed program students will learn all about sharks through games, films, crafts, and activities at the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center. Come into the Sanctuary visitor center and register today or call 989-884-6200! Open: Monday - Saturday from 10a.m.-5p.m., and Sunday from Noon to 5p.m. Or REGISTER ONLINE at: http://bit.ly/shark-days. Cost is $25. Deadline for registration is March 28th, 2018. Only 20 spots available for each session. If registration is full and you would like to be put on a waiting list, please contact: erin.pilarski@noaa.gov or 989-884-6215.Programs are divided by age and will run Thursday AND Friday for three hours each. SESSION ONE ($25): Thursday and Friday for ages 5 - 6 from 9 a.m.-Noon. SESSION TWO ($25): Thursday and Friday for ages 7 - 9 from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. *Please note that we cannot reserve a spot for your child until registration and payment is completed. All registered children must be signed in both at pick up and drop off within the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center.

Paul Bunyan Comedy Fest

From 7:00PM to 11:00PM

The festival will be held over 3 days, 6 shows total with 30 comedians. One show on Thursday April 5th at 7pm (general showcase), Two shows on Friday April 6th at 7pm (general showcase) & 9 pm (general showcase), and three shows on Saturday April 7th- 4 pm (clean show), 7pm (general showcase, and 9 pm (blue showcase). Tickets are $8 in advance and can be purchased online or at the Hilltop Bar and Grill. Net Proceeds to the Alzheimer's Association.
