From 12:00AM to 12:00AM

My name is Betty Klug and I am looking for high school students to participate in a research program that I am conducting for my PhD dissertation at Capella University. The purpose of the research is to examine the significance of including an orientation program before using a virtual world as a classroom for learners with Dyslexia or AD/HD. The classes are held in a virtual world, which offers a safe, flexible environment. Students should be self-reported AD/HD, or Dyslexic. The participation of a total of 20-40 hours is required by the student, which will consist of about 2-3 weeks, 5 days a week for 2-2.5 hours a day attending class or doing activities online in the virtual world. The age requirement for participants is 13 to 20 years old. Students must have access to a computer with high-speed internet. The students do not need to be in school at this time but they must not have received a High School diploma and not have completed high school biology if you are interested in participating in this study or would like more information, please contact me on Facebook (Betty Klug), call 989-728-6490 or email me at mklug2@capellauniversity.edu

Wild West Adventures Super Saturday Kids Day

HIS Kids, the Children’s Ministry of In His Presence Hale Assembly of God Church, will be hosting another “Super Saturday” Kids Day Event on Saturday, October 14 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, for kids who are 5 yrs old through 8th grade. This year, the Super Saturday Events, which are held the 2nd Saturday of the even months of the year, will have a Wild West Adventure theme for all of 2017. They will “romp” through the pages of history and the Bible learning about “Outlaws for God”. Along the way kids will enjoy making fun cowboy crafts, sampling some tasty snacks, playing some galloping games, and practicing frontier skills. They will also learn songs, enjoy skits, see puppets, and have a FREE lunch, all provided by the church. Kids from Hale and the surrounding area are invited to attend this free event. Children may be registered by their parents from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM on site at 3716 N. M-65 in Hale, MI. The actual event runs from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Parents may leave after registration and pick up their kids at the end of the event, or they are welcomed to stay for the day, if they wish. Many parents really enjoy a few “kid free” hours to get stuff done. HIS Kids have been hosting these Super Saturdays every other month since April of 2015 and all who attend have a great time! This Super Saturday event is open to the public and is absolutely FREE of charge. HIS Kids also offers children’s programing on Sunday mornings during the 10:30 AM service and on Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM. For more information about Super Saturdays, go to www.HaleAG.org or find In His Presence Hale Assembly of God on Facebook.
