Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

National Honor Society Blood Drive

The Whittemore-Prescott National Honor Society will be holding a blood drive at the Whittemore-Prescott High School Library from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 24th. You can pre-register by going to the school's website: www.wpas.net. The pre-registration link can be found under District News. Walk-Ins are welcome. THE CURTIS TOWNSHIP LIBRARY WILL PRESENT THE PROGRAM “IF I COULD BUILD A CITY” WITH SLOAN/LONGWAY MUSEUM FOR CHILDREN AGES 4-12 AT THE LIBRARY, 4884 BAMFIELD ROAD IN GLENNIE FROM 4-5PM. THE PROGRAM IS FREE BUT REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED BY CALLING THE LIBRARY AT 735-2601.
