Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

Lake Huron Discovery Tour

AS PART OF THE LAKE HURON DISCOVERY TOUR A PRESENTATION ON THE SIGNIFICANCE OF WATER, LAKE HURON, THUNDER BAY AND INLAND WATERWAYS, WILL BE HELD SUNDAY, OCTOBER 9TH, 2-3:30PM  IN THE MACKNIAW LIBRARY, 528 WEST CENTRAL AVENUE, IN MACKINAW CITY. SPONSORED BY THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF NORTHEAST MICHIGAN.

Tawas Point Haunted Lighthouse

Tawas Point Haunted Lighthouse October 7-9, Tawas Point State Park This fun family event is held at the lighthouse area and features fun carnival games and prizes for kids, costumed characters, hayrides, spooky cemetery, and lighthouse tours.
