Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

St. Helen Bluegill Festival

The 65th annual St. Helen Bluegill Festival is a family oriented festival. Starting with the kids Parade on Thursday evening to open the festival. Friday is special needs day and Kids day where it's all about the kids. Saturday on the agenda is the Fast and the Furriest (local canines competing in an optical course).Throughout the weekend Schmidt Amusement (carnival) will be on hand offering its famous midway entertainment. Saturday’s horse shoe tournament is always a great hit and new this year is the punt, pass, kick contest. Vendors and Crafters will be set up and ready for you to browse throughout the weekend.Also new this year group of family oriented bands will be playing in our vendor area. The beverage pavilion will feature the band Day 8 all three nights while you sip your favorite beverage. Our fishing contest and our famous medallion hunt will start on July 5th and conclude on Saturday evening July 12th. The festivals Grand Parade starts on Sunday July 13th at 1pm and ends at the park for the closing ceremonies.
