Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

AT THE TAWAS MASONIC LODGE ON M-55 IN TAWAS CITY. ALL YOU CAN EAT FISH WITH ALL THE TRIMMINGS. COST IS $10 PER PERSON WITH TAKE OUTS AVAILABLE. PROCEEDS BENEFIT 11 MONTH OLD CARL DESOTELL, WHO HAS LEUKEMIA, AND HIS FAMILY WITH MEDICAL EXPENSES.

Wings of Wellness Bereavement Support Group

From 1:00PM to 3:00PM

The Wings of Wellness Bereavement Support Group is for individuals experiencing the death of a significant person in their life. The sessions will be held in the Inspirational Room at the Hospice Angelic Care Office, 314 M-55, Tawas City, MI on the Fridays of: March 8, 15, 22 & 29 and April 5 & 12, 2013. Pre-registration is required for the FREE sessions so that enough presentation materials are available. The sessions will be facilitated by Lacey Selman, a licensed social worker trained in bereavement counseling and support and along with Intern Lorraine Passeggiato.
